Sidewalks, Trails, and Paths Committee
Tredyffrin's Sidewalks, Trails, and Paths (STAP) Committee is a volunteer group of nine residents appointed by the Board of Supervisors. Each member is appointed to a three-year term. The Board of Supervisors has authorized the STAP Committee to oversee the implementation of the recommendations related to pedestrian and bicycle access in the Parks, Recreations, and Open Space Plan (adopted by the Tredyffrin Township Board of Supervisors in May of 2005).
The mission of STAP is to advise the Township on ways to implement the pedestrian system recommendations in the 2005 Park, Recreation, and Open Space Plan. The STAP Committee will help to:
- Identify priority trail and sidewalk areas as recommended in the Parks, Recreations and Open Space Plan.
- Determine appropriate trail and sidewalk types (paved vs. unpaved, etc).
- Research funding options.
- Act as a liaison with the community in matters related to public walkways.
- Report findings and make recommendations to the Board of Supervisors.
