OTHER TOWNSHIP PLANS
In 1992, the Open Space, Recreation and Environmental Resources Plan was added to the Comprehensive Plan. In 2005, this portion of the Comprehensive Plan was updated and adopted as an amendment to the Comprehensive Plan. The Parks, Recreation and Open Space Plan provides background about the current park, recreation and open space system, and presents a plan for carrying out the following goals:
- Developing a Township-wide trail and sidewalk system
- Preserving more open space
- Expanding and improving the park system
- Creating new recreation program opportunites
- Refining how Tredyffrin administers its park, recreation, and open space system
In 2001, the Paoli Community Master Plan was added to the Comprehensive Plan. The Paoli Community Master Plan lays out an ambitious vision for redeveloping the Paoli Rail Yards following completion of extensive environmental remediation; relocating the Paoli train station to the Rail Yard (across North Valley Road from the current station location) to allow for better access and more parking; road and streetscape improvements; and zoning changes to encourage mixed-use development.
The Comprehensive Plan can be reviewed at the Township Building and/or purchased for $15. Copies of the Paoli Master Plan and Parks and Recreation Plan are available for review or purchase at the Township Building or may be downloaded from this page via the links below.
In accordance with the Pennsylvania Municipalities Planning Code, the Subdivision and Land Development Ordinance and Zoning Ordinance are the Township's primary instruments for implementing the Comprehensive Plan. The Subdivision and Land Development Ordinance and the Zoning Ordinance can be viewed from this page via the links below or may be purchased at the Township Building for $15. They also are available for review at the Tredyffrin and Paoli libraries.

- The Patriots Path is a proposed trail network in East Whiteland Township, Malvern Borough and Tredyffrin Township that will connect area historic sites with American Revolutionary War significance via the Chester Valley Trail. With the assistance of Chester County and a professional consultant, the three municipalities have developed a draft plan and study for the Patriots Path. The goal is to adopt a plan that will amend the 2009 Comprehensive Plan to include a Patriots Path plan. The current draft (August of 2009) will be discussed at the public meeting of the Planning Commission on September 17, 2009; members of the public are welcome to attend and share their thoughts and comments on the study with the Planning Commission at that time. Tredyffrin Township will be collecting comments on the draft study during September and October, with consideration for adoption by the Board of Supervisors in November.
