Road Improvements for the Transportation Center
- Paoli Road Improvement Project - Feasibility Study and Public Involvement Program: At the Board of Supervisors meeting on January 23rd, 2012, Tredyffrin Township selected an engineering and public involvement consultant team, McMahon Associates, Inc., to complete a study outlining specfic recommendations for road improvements needed to support the planned Transportation Center. The Study will address existing congestion, public safety concerns, and the overall vision for a multi-modal Paoli through traffic calming and streetscape and intersection modifications. Public outreach and stakeholder involvement will be a major component of this project and, later this year, there will be more information on opportunities for input. This project is state-funded.
- Routes 252 & 30 Intersection Improvement Project: Bergmann Associates, Inc. was selected as the engineering team to design various signal and roadway improvements for the Routes 252 and 30 Intersection based off of a feasibility study completed in 2011. This project is state- and federally-funded.
- SEPTA Train Station: SEPTA annouced that it has awarded a $7.5 million contract to Gannett Fleming Inc. for design of a new Paoli regional rail station and parking garage.

- Pedstrian Plan: At the May 23rd Board of Supervisors meeting, Whitman, Requardt and Associates presented a pedestrian plan for the Paoli Business District. The plan has been funded by an Efficient Growth for Growing Suburbs (EGGS) grant from the Delaware Valley Regional Planning Commission and the William Penn Foundation.
- Paoli Community Master Plan (143 pages, 7.45 MB): Completed by Norman Day Associates in 2011. Recommendations included redeveloping Amtrak's Paoli Yard with a new train station and improved access and waiting areas for connecting buses and shuttles; upgrading the road system to handle increased traffic and improve access for bikes and pedestrians; and updating zoning for the Rail Yard and surrounding business district.
- Zoning: Updated for the Rail Yard and surrounding business district as part of the 2001 Paoli Community Master Plan.
