Use and Occupancy

Chapters 80, 163 and 208 of the Tredyffrin Township Code, and, by reference, the 2003 ICC Codes require use and occupancy permits for:

• all new construction, whether residential or commercial and
• all changes in commericial occupancy.

Some businesses are permitted to operate out of homes in residential districts (RC, R-½, R-1, R-2, R-3 and R-4) provided that they meet specific conditions. For more information on these conditions go to the Home Businesses Page.
