Resurfacing/Paving Program
The Township resurfacing program typically comprises about 4.5 to 5 miles annually. The program includes milling of the existing surface to shape the roadway for proper slope and to increase/maintain curb reveal. We also excavate and remove and replace deteriorated base sections to prevent problems from recurring.
The work is contracted to save costs and to allow our forces to do other maintenance on Township roadways. The contracts are normally granted so that the resurfacing and repairs are made between May and September. Residents will be given notices prior to resurfacing work being done on their street. Parking on the streets will be prohibited at certain times of the project but access will be allowed at the end of the day and for emergency vehicles.
The list of streets to be resurfaced and/or reconditioned will be posted on the current events section of this site when the Board of Supervisors has approved the list and contract for the work.
