Street Opening Permit

Anytime an excavation is made in a Township roadway right of way, a permit is required. Work requiring a permit includes utility installation and repair, curb and sidewalk repair, installation of driveway connections and pole installations.

Street opening permit applications can be obtained at the Township. Three copies of the application, a check and a plan showing the size and location of the opening are required for processing the application. The fee is $20.00 for the application and $2.00 per square foot of opening with a minimum of $40.00 for a permit. ALL openings in the right of way are subject to a street opening permit.

A copy of the roadway restoration rules will be sent to the application following the approval of the street opening permit.
