Street Sweeping
Street sweeping is performed by Highway personnel in the Public Works Department. The Department has two sweepers to clean the 107 miles of Township roadways. All Township roads are swept in the spring. Other roads are swept as may be required throughout the year.
The spring sweep takes the longest due to the spreading of anti-skid material throughout the previous winter.
The Township Public Works crews sweep certain streets in the fall to clear leaves that fall in the street but do not collect leaves swept into piles in the street. Residents are not allowed to deposit leaves in the street. Leaves should be composted on your property. If that is not an option, your leaf hauler provides several pickups during the fall for leaves or you may take your leaves to the Tredyffrin Township compost site on Cassatt Road.
