Paoli Road Improvements Study (Completed)

CoverThe "Paoli Road Improvement Feasibility Study & Public Participation Project" was initiated by Tredyffrin Township in an effort to engage local stakeholders in the development of transportation solutions in downtown Paoli. The Township selected a team of consultants, lead by McMahon Associates, to complete a study outlining specific recommendations for road improvements needed to retrofit the downtown area and support upgrades to the Paoli Train Station. The Study addresses existing congestion, pedestrian safety, and the overall vision to transform the Paoli business district into a vibrant “main street” village.

Public outreach and stakeholder involvement was a major component of this project. This effort included a project website; five neighborhood meetings; five business stakeholder meetings; three open houses with total attendance of 724; a survey with 244 respondents; a visual preference surveys from 520 participants; and seven property owner meetings. Through this process, the Project Team devised and refined a series of concepts for the proposed improvements. These concepts are on display in the lobby at the Township Building and are included in the Plan documents below:
