When a complaint is received, the following steps occur:
- The Code Enforcement Officer visits the property to verify the information and usually photographs the violation.
- If a violation is found, a letter is sent to the property owner stating the violation and specifying how long they have to remedy the violation. Depending on the severity of the violation, the notice may be sent via certified mail.
