Tredyffrin Township's Board of Supervisors governs local issues. It consists of 7 members who set policy, adopt ordinances, and manage Township services. Meetings are held monthly and livestreamed.
The Arts Commission shall serve in an advisory capacity for the preservation and promotion of arts, culture, and creative identity within the Township and is intended to assess and evaluate the merits of applications for the creation of public art, while advising the Board of Supervisors on the same.
The Environmental Advisory Council (EAC) advises Tredyffrin Township on environmental issues, promotes education, and leads projects like watershed protection, stormwater management, and habitat preservation.
The Historical Commission advises on preserving historic resources in Tredyffrin Township. It educates residents, recommends heritage protection, and leads projects to raise awareness and encourage stewardship.
The Libraries Board determines policy for the Tredyffrin Public Library in Strafford and its branch in Paoli. The Board makes decisions concerning staffing and funding of the Libraries' operations.
The Tredyffrin Township Library Foundation is a nonprofit 501(c)(3) organization which provides a tax-deductible vehicle to contribute to Tredyffrin Township Libraries, supplementing local governmental funding efforts.
The Tredyffrin Township Municipal Authority funds sanitary sewer and highway projects through Municipal Bonds. It owns and leases sewer facilities to the Township, and its seven members serve five-year terms.
The Park & Recreation Board oversees park acquisition, development, and activities, aiming to enhance residents' quality of life through recreation programs and open space preservation. It has nine members serving overlapping terms.
Tredyffrin Township's Foundation for Parks and Recreation is dedicated to assisting the Tredyffrin community improve and expand its system of public parks, recreational facilities, pedestrian trails and open space.
The Pension Trustees manage the Township's pension fund, ensuring its proper oversight and management. The Board consists of appointed members, serving overlapping terms.
The Planning Commission oversees Tredyffrin's land development, zoning, and comprehensive planning. It is made up of seven members, who are appointed to four-year terms, with regular meetings open to the public.
The Traffic Committee addresses traffic and road conditions in the Township, reviewing projects with significant traffic impacts and recommending improvements to reduce congestion. Members include police officials and engineers.
The UCC Appeals Board hears appeals of orders or violations related to the Uniform Construction Code (UCC) and decides if violations exist, but cannot impose fines. Their decisions are provided in writing.
The Zoning Hearing Board handles zoning appeals and consists of three members and three alternates. Meetings are open to the public and held monthly. Volunteer for alternate positions by submitting a letter of interest.
