Tredyffrin Township – HR Director April 28, 2025

Tredyffrin Township is seeking to fill the position of HR Director to lead our Human Resources department. The HR Director will plan, lead, direct, develop and coordinate the policies, activities, and staff of the Township ensuring legal compliance and implementation of the Township’s mission. The HR Director will be responsible for the administration of human resources programs including, but not limited to, compensation, benefits, and leave; disciplinary matters; disputes and investigations; performance and talent management, productivity, recognition, and moral; occupational health and safety; and training and development. Conducts research and analysis of trends; monitors and ensures the Township’s compliance with federal, state and local employment laws and regulations; reviews and modifies policies; maintains employees personnel records; assist legal counsel with grievances, arbitrations, unfair labor practices, lawsuits, and union negotiations; other duties as assigned.

Knowledge and skills include the ability to use basic Microsoft Office (Word, Outlook, Excel, Explorer) and data entry programs; ability to communicate effectively in person and in writing. Must be familiar with use of personal computer workstation, copier/scanner/printer, multi-line telephone system, and calculator.

Qualifications for this position include:

  • Bachelor’s degree in human resources, business administration, or another related field.
  • Professional or Senior Professional in Human Resources (PHR or SPHR) certifications or SHRM Certified Professional (CP) preferred.
  • Five (5) years of human resources management experience.
  • Two (2) years supervisory experience.
  • Public human resource experience preferred.

This is a full-time, non-union, exempt position, the salary starting at $90,000 per year depending on experience. EOE. Subject to background/drug screens.
