Each year, nearly one-third of power outages are caused by fallen trees and broken tree limbs. In the coming months, PECO's qualified tree service contractor will begin trimming trees within Tredyffrin Township to promote growth away from power lines and electrical equipment. This tree trimming will help PECO provide better electric service to area neighborhoods.

Below is a map(PDF, 1MB) showing the PECO lines the PECO lines that will be surveyed as part of their tree trimming maintenance program. This free service is critical, as it helps prevent and/or minimizes future outages caused by falling vegetation.  PECO completes this work proactively on a 4-year cycle. Their contractor, Asplundh, will be out in various communities within the Township over the next several months to address any areas that need trees cleared from PECO wires or dead trees removed. This work will begin soon and may require access to resident properties for tree trimming. Electric service will not be interrupted. PECO is committed to delivering safe and reliable energy to their customers and the communities they serve. Thank you for your patience as PECO works to enhance our community's electric service. Any questions, please call 800-311-6345. For more information about the process, visit peco.com/treetrimming.
