Dear Customer,
We are contacting you about a continuing project in Tredyffrin and Willistown Township that will enhance the local electric distribution system. This project is a $2.1 million infrastructure investment in your area to help withstand more frequent and damaging storms, improve reliability by reducing the frequency of outages that cannot be prevented, and support the adoption of cleaner energy resources such as solar and electric vehicles.
About the project:
- We recently reviewed the electric service reliability in your neighborhood and noted you have experienced multiple interruptions, so we are taking steps to improve your service reliability and reduce the number of power outages you experience.
- We will be upgrading and installing new, innovative equipment, including new poles and tree-resistant aerial wires.
- Advanced devices will be installed that can stop the flow of electricity if a problem occurs and automatically restore electricity where possible.
What you’ll see during this project:
- Project completion was delayed due to an overlapping priority project.
- Project work was recently restarted on N Valley Road.
- Work will continue along North Valley Rd, Jacqueline Dr, Park Ave, Rolling Hill Dr, Sunset Dr, Central Ave, Industrial Blvd, W Central Ave, Timber Ln, Keystone Ave, Railroad Ave, Minor Ave, Knobb Hill Ln, Hawthorne Pl, Woodbine Ave, N Cedar Hollow Rd, and W Central Ave.
- All work will be performed by PECO crews and qualified PECO contractors.
We have developed a plan to minimize direct customer impact as much as possible and to complete the project in a safe and timely manner.
Electrical equipment located underground is currently being conducted along North Valley Road with an estimated completion in the 3rd Quarter of 2025. Electrical equipment, including poles and wires, is estimated to continue in the 4th Quarter of 2025 with an estimated completion in the 1st Quarter of 2026.
Crews may need to temporarily interrupt electric service to safely complete some of this work. We will work with customers to ensure they are informed in advance of our activities and any planned interruptions. To ensure you receive all outage updates, please confirm that your phone number is accurate in our system through MyAccount at peco.com/myaccount or by calling PECO at 1-800-494-4000.
