TREDYFFRIN-EASTTOWN FIRE COMMISSION APPOINTS CHIEF OF FIRE & EMS
Eric Felker Brings 38 Years of Experience to New Position
BERWYN, PA – On September 16, 2026, the Tredyffrin-Easttown Fire Commission (TEFC) officially appointed Eric Felker as the Chief of Fire and Emergency Medical Services during their regular public meeting. This position will oversee the delivery of emergency services in coordination with the Berwyn Fire Company, Paoli Fire Company and Radnor Fire Company.
Felker brings 38 years of volunteer and combination fire/EMS experience to this position, including 20 years in a Chief officer role. Most notably, he served as the volunteer Fire Chief at Collingdale Fire Company No. 1 in Delaware County from 1999-2001 and later as volunteer Fire Chief at West Grove Fire Company in Chester County from 2013-2015 and 2023-2025.
Felker is a Life Member of Collingdale Fire Company No. 1, where his father died in the line of duty in 1978. Along with carrying on his father’s legacy of service, his three brothers also serve in public safety roles in the fire service and law enforcement.
After earning the title of Physician Assistant between educational pursuits at Drexel University and Eastern University, he began working in the healthcare field in 1996. He most recently worked at Penn Medicine Chester County Hospital as an Emergency Care Specialist Physician Assistant. He also has valuable experience as a part-time firefighter/EMT with Springfield Fire Company in Delaware County.
Felker is credentialed as a Pennsylvania Chief Officer (PACO) as affirmed by the Pennsylvania Municipal League and Pennsylvania Career Fire Chiefs Association.
Felker is an active member of the International Association of Fire Chiefs, Delaware Valley Chiefs Association, Chester County Fire Chiefs Association and Southern Chester County Chiefs Association.
A longtime resident of Chester County, Felker is married to his wife Lori with whom he has three adult children. He is active in his local church and has participated in multiple medical mission trips to Guatemala.
Felker will begin his full-time employment with TEFC on November 2, 2026.

The Tredyffrin-Easttown Fire Commission (TEFC) was established in December 2025 by both the Tredyffrin and Easttown Township Boards of Supervisors under the Pennsylvania Intergovernmental Cooperation Act. It was created to streamline, govern, and oversee the consolidated fire and emergency medical services (EMS) for both municipalities, operating under the umbrella of the newly formed Tredyffrin-Easttown Fire Department. TEFC consists of five members: three appointed supervisors from Tredyffrin Township and two appointed supervisors from Easttown Township. TEFC is tasked with setting strategic goals, managing budgets and long-term financial models, appointing the Chief of Fire and EMS, and ensuring overall operational safety and compliance.
