Municipal Complex Fuel Tank Replacement

The Township has over 50 diesel vehicles used on a regular basis. In an effort to stay efficient and save on diesel expenses, the Township has a fuel tank on-site at the Municipal Complex. At the end of 2024, the Public Works Department began a project to replace the old underground fuel tank. After removal of the old tank, the area surrounding it was tested to confirm there was no contamination. After filling and compacting the old hole, and building an above-ground pad to support the new tank, we took delivery of the new fuel tank, which was installed July 7, 2025.

2025 Update: Final installation and technical training is underway and we anticipate the fuel tank will be in regular daily use by the end of July 2025.
