Wembley Drive Construction Update

Published on September 23, 2025

The Township Engineering and Public Works Departments have completed work on emergency repairs to the Wembley Drive Culvert Bridge over the Avonwood Tributary of Trout Creek. Concrete underpinning repairs were made to the upstream wingwall to stabilize and address undermining from stream erosion.  Rip-rap stone protection was placed along the wingwall and upstream stream bank to reduce future erosion and scour.  Sediment was removed from both cells of the culverts, as well as some vegetation that was blocking flow immediately upstream of the culvert.  Additionally, some minor concrete spalling areas were addressed and the disturbed areas were regraded and seeded/strawed.

The Township followed up with PennDOT and received approval to remove the one lane closure of the roadway which has been in place for several months while these repairs were made.  The barriers have been removed and Wembley Drive is now open to full traffic in both directions.

The Township wants to thank residents for their patience as these repairs were performed to the Wembley Drive Bridge over the Avonwood Tributary of Trout Creek.
